How to Plan a Bachelorette in Austin, Texas

When planning a bachelorette, a few things come into consideration. How many people? What is the budget? What will we do? Most importantly, where does the bride want to go? When it came time to plan my best friend’s bachelorette, she knew exactly where she wanted to go. I just had to make it happen and now you can too! This is a full detailed guide on how we planned the BEST bachelorette in Austin, Texas.

Austin, Texas

There are plenty of cool areas to stay in Austin. From my research and personal experience, I would recommend Rainey Street, Downtown, or off of 6th Street. We had 22 girls staying with us on this bachelorette in Austin, Texas and needed a very large place so we could all be together. After searching for houses large enough for our group, we found Inn Cahoots which is a boutique event space/hotel.

Unique Things to Do:

You can scroll down to read our itinerary below but I wanted to highly some of the very fun and unique things we did.

First being, Twisted Texas Tours which is a bus tour of Austin in a very unique way. We chose to do the “Live Music Bus Tour” but they also specialize in a food tour, beer tours, and a city tour. You can either buy seats on a bus for a tour time or rent out the whole bus if you have a large enough party! This is something I would highly recommend to anyone going to Austin. It was a great time and I can’t wait to go back again!

Obviously staying cool is one thing many want to do when they visit Austin so most people rent a boat on Lake Travis or go tubing down the San Marcos, Comal, or Guadalupe rivers. We had too large of a group for that but we did find an awesome alternative, Barton Springs! Barton Springs is a set of four natural water springs located at Barton Creek. Tickets $9 for an adult (unless you are a Texas resident). We strongly encourage you to purchase these ahead of time as the line to get in can be long.

Last, the most random and yet totally memorable event from the bachelorette was when we attended “Chicken Sh*t Bingo”. Yup, you read that right. At The Little Longhorn Saloon, this event happens every Sunday from 4-8pm. Austin, Texas is known to make weird being cool and this experience was just that!
